The Anglo-French novelist William Le Queux penned popular thrillers and intriguing espionage novels. He led an adventurous life, in keeping with his fiction, serving as a diplomat for San Marino, while extensively travelling Europe, the Balkans and North Africa. He was also a flying buff and a wireless pioneer, who broadcasted music from his own station long before radio was generally available.
