Longtime collaborators Linda Pinson and Jerry Jinnett have updated their systematic planning and implementation guide with appropriate advice on key issues that span the process, from "Examining Your Personal Objectives" and "Generating a Viable Idea" to "Choosing a Business Location" and "Selecting Your Insurance." A few sections dealing with the most technical aspects of running a business successfully (such as "Keeping Your Books") provide little more than an introduction to the various particulars involved, but most provide more than enough specifics to get your enterprise up and humming. Their suggestions for "Choosing a Business Name," for instance, spell out nine initial points to consider, including "Choose a name that has meaning for your target market. Identify three to five personality traits or benefits that make your company special [then] focus on the qualities your target customers appreciate." --Howard Rothman
