The FIRST MAJOR PUBLICATION in Sequoyah's Old Syllabary! While thousands are familiar with the revised version of Sequoyah's syllabary developed for printing, far fewer are familiar with the original version with its complex and cursive characters. Until now, there has not been extensive publication in this writing system. The complete 27 books of the New Testament, translated into Cherokee in the early and middle 1800s, offered now in a larger print version. Rev. Samuel Worcester created the first mass printed version of the New Testament in the writing system then recently devised by Sequoyah. Proceeds from this edition benefit the Cherokee Bible Project and the Four Rivers Native American Church
