I'm a Licensed Practical Nurse. One night, while taking care of my patient, who was on a ventilator, I was feeling very down and depressed. While my patient was asleep and hearing the sounds coming from the ventilator, I started praying. I was having quite a few problems at that time. I started thinking, if I could just feel God Spirit and have a closer relationship with Him, I knew that would make me feel better. I wanted to write God a love letter. I wanted to let Him know how much I loved Him and wanted to have a closer relationship with Him. I wanted to feel the power of His Spirit on the inside of me. Instead of writing a love letter, I started writing poems. Every night after connecting my patient to the ventilator and watching her sleep and hearing the sounds coming from the ventilator, I knew she was sleeping soundly. Doing this downtime for me, I began to write poems again and again. When I was finished, I had written fifty poems. Then I started thinking about writing a book. I thought to myself, if these poems can help me get through my trials, which they were, maybe they could possibly help someone else. This is when I began to start to gather my poems together with bible verses. I wanted to share my experiences with people and help those who need guidance through spiritual poems with bible passages. If we as the people of God allow Our Heavenly Father to draw us closer to Him through these poems with bible passages, we will become overcomers and God will draw us toward His Son, Jesus Christ, which will help shape and mold our lives into what He wants us to be
